I will sign if you will change your pic
I am sure this will be flamebait but I dont see why not. perhaps from bosses that have minis or it could just be random. Maybe make hard mode needed.

It would be nice, as long as they are RARE(!). We need something rare-rare-rare in the game again, and getting one of these as a drop with them being so rare would really make a person's day :P

/signed if they're ultra super duper NON-TRADEABLE rare
Don't like how minipets, which are meant to be a symbol of your experience and loyalty to Guild Wars, are now being bought by lvl 11s.

If they were meant to be non-tradeable then they would be something that one received only as an executable emote, and your account only could execute that emote. They are not. It is a further part of the lets promote the e-bay gold scheme that GW is so fond of. I gave my minipet to a friend to hold in case I cam back to the game, she is no longer playing apparently. As she was elderly and disabled I hope she is alright. I do not expect GW to care one way or the other. But I detest and remain disgusted by the elitest bull that is constantly shoved down our throats by ANet concerning game content. And if they wanted loyalty they should have shown some honor and integritty when they released Factions, assaulted the American value of indiviudal expression, and kept game content in Prophecies under the control of elite PvP play, and established game content in Factions under a system forcing people to beg for access from Mega-guilds. That and an economy which exists only for those who can buy gold over the internet destroy the value of this game for a casual player. And prices in the 100k plus or 200k plus ecto range were always evidence that this game ends up being exclusively for those who are wealthy in the real world.

You know, after the implementation of loot scaling, many "Guild Wars Gold" sites either stopped selling, or increased their prices. Furthermore, you can now access The Deep and Urgotz Warren by simply getting 1000 faction with the corresponding faction. They made some mistakes, now they're fixing them.
Frankly, I'm very close to reporting this post as it seems that you just took this opportunity to rant about how much you dislike Arena Net. Really, if you hate them so much, stop playing their game.

I agree with the original post.
As for Fitz Rinley's rant, take a chill pill, buddy! GW disregards the disabled, stamps out individual expression, and promotes elitism? Jesus... are we talking about a video game or a fascist regime?
And if GW really is the devil incarnate, then stop playing. Last time I checked, it wasn't obligatory to suffer Anet's evil machinations.

I can't see this taking to much time or effort to implement, and any opprotunity I have to get mini's is all right by me!

As long as they add any kind of miniature storage it would be fine... otherwise...
You could not catch them all... and that would be a nightmare, XD.

that sounds uber-sweet -- I think it'd work best if it's a mini of the boss you just beat. (-:

What if the uber rare drop was a scroll that allowed you to create a mini of any boss that you kill? It would have to be very, very rare - but it would be a ton of Fun (mini Krogg Shmush > mini troll )
I realize this would take more time to implement bc they would have to make mini models of all bosses - so maybe an idea for GW2....
Edit: Oops - srry tyche7 - I guess we are thinkin on the same wavelength!

Hope you're still saying that when you get shipped off to fight a war that the people you're "defending" don't want you to fight. But I digress...
You know, every time I see someone asking for something that's truly rare, I can't help but think of all those posts complaining about how bad the economy is and how they can't afford to buy any of the pretties that they want....

As the rat said, change your pic and i might sign (purely political)! How-ever the other issue is that we already have dozens of mini pets available ingame.
I kind of like the idea of having mini-pets drop from bosses, but they would have to be extremely rare! Otherwise we end up with the game flooded with countless other mini pets.
But IMO, I prefer the idea of mini-pets being birthday pressies! They dont really do anything, and because we have ALOT of mini-pet collectors, it would incourage farming.
